Aaron graduated from the University of Maryland Baltimore County in 2000 with a BA in imaging and digital art, a program combining animation, video, and interactive design. After graduation, he remained at UMBC as a new media specialist until beginning work at the firehouse in 2010. As an NCSDO web designer, Aaron has provided design and coding for Barnard College, Lebanon Valley College, St. John's College, Sarah Lawrence College, the University of Pennsylvania, and the University of the South's School of Theology.
Aaron continues to develop his web design skills in courses at the University of Baltimore, where he is currently working toward an MFA in integrated design. He fancies himself a chef and brewmaster, and he freely admits to spending his spare time drawing funny cartoon characters.
Q&A:
Weapon of choice? Nunchucks, I suppose. I'd probably end up hurting myself more than the other guy, but they're pretty cool!
Kitchen utensil you consider most vital? I really like my extra coffee grinder, which I use to grind fresh cumin and coriander.
Go-to sushi roll? Whenever I order sushi, I usually include at least one order of salmon nigiri.
Favorite type of M&Ms? Peanut butter M&Ms put the vastly inferior Reese's Pieces to shame!
Favorite childhood Halloween costume? One year I went as a robot! The costume consisted of cardboard boxes spray-painted silver and pieces of candy for the lights and buttons.
